The Goal

He just wanted to ride with his brothers.

Micah was four years old, full of personality, and determined to keep up with his two very active brothers. He used a walker or wheelchair to get around, and a standard bicycle couldn't provide the support and stability he needed.

a Rifton Adaptive Tricycle

A bike made for Micah.

A Rifton adaptive tricycle could give Micah the positioning, support, and confidence he needed to pedal — and, most importantly, the chance to join his brothers for neighborhood bike rides.

A Community showed up

Once Micah's campaign went live, his family began sharing one very relatable goal: help Micah ride alongside his brothers. Friends, family, coworkers and members of their community responded immediately.

Contributions came from dozens of people, turning what could have felt like an overwhelming equipment expense into something a community could solve together. In roughly 24 hours, Micah's campaign was fully funded.

More than a bike

For Micah, the adaptive tricycle wasn't really about owning a piece of equipment. It meant getting to participate.

Instead of watching his brothers ride, Micah could ride with them — with the support and positioning he needed to do it safely. His first bike became something bigger: another way for three brothers to simply be kids together.
