Liberty’s Campaign Went Above and Beyond!

Liberty’s community showed up in a big way. 63 supporters raised $7,375, far exceeding her original goal!

Because of that overwhelming support, Liberty’s campaign helped fund the transportation equipment her family had hoped for — and the family was also able to add a Chill-Out Chair / Rocker for extra support at home.

After the equipment arrived, Liberty’s family shared wonderful updates and photos. Her mom said of Liberty’s first outing, “To say she was thrilled is an understatement!” She also shared photos of Liberty enjoying her new Roosevelt car seat and getting ready for more rides and adventures.

This campaign gave Liberty and her family more freedom, more comfort, and more ways to safely explore the world together.

Liberty’s Campaign Went Above and Beyond!

Liberty’s Story

Liberty Grace has a smile that lights up a room. Her sweet spirit draws everyone in and lets them know they have a friend without her ever speaking a word.

Liberty was born with two major heart defects and underwent open-heart surgery at just 3 1/2 weeks old. The surgery was successful, but the following day Liberty went into cardiac arrest. She was revived, but suffered a widespread brain injury.

Liberty loves being on the go with her family. She especially enjoys traveling to her big brother Lake’s games and going on walks, runs, hikes, and bike rides to explore the world around her.

As Liberty grew, she outgrew important transportation supports. Her car seat had become very old and worn, and her family also hoped for equipment that would allow her to safely enjoy more outings and adventures.

Because insurance did not cover the car seat and adaptive transportation equipment can be expensive, her family created this campaign to help provide the support Liberty needed to travel more safely, comfortably, and joyfully with the people she loves.
