You don't need a perfect campaign. You just need a genuine one.

One of the biggest misconceptions about fundraising is that you need to be a great writer, a social media expert, or someone with thousands of followers.

You don't.

The campaigns that resonate most are usually the ones that feel honest, personal, and easy to understand.

People don't support a campaign because it's polished.

They support it because they understand why it matters.

Start With the "Why"

Before talking about equipment, start with your story.

Why are you fundraising?

How will this equipment make everyday life better?

Will it help your child join family outings?

Participate at school?

Play with siblings?

Gain more independence?

The equipment is important—but your story is what helps people connect.

Show Real Life

You don't need professional photos.

Some of the best campaign photos are simply real moments.

A smile.

A walk in the park.

Working with a therapist.

Playing with brothers or sisters.

Everyday life often tells the strongest story.

Be Specific

Instead of saying:

"We're raising money for medical equipment."

Try explaining exactly what you're raising money for and why.

For example:

"We're raising funds for an adaptive stroller that will allow Emma to safely enjoy walks, family vacations, and everyday adventures."

The clearer your goal, the easier it is for people to understand how they're helping.

Keep It Personal

Your campaign doesn't need to tell your entire life story.

Share enough for people to understand your journey and why this equipment will make a meaningful difference.

Write the way you'd talk to a friend.

Simple is almost always better.

Remember... People Want to Help

Many families worry they're asking too much.

We've found the opposite is often true.

Friends and family frequently appreciate knowing how they can help.

Your campaign simply gives them a way to be part of something meaningful.

From the Tadpole Team

One thing we've noticed over the years is that the strongest campaigns don't feel like fundraisers.

They feel like someone sharing an important part of their life.

Don't worry about finding the perfect words.

Just be yourself.

People connect with authenticity far more than perfection.
