MobilityFunder didn't begin with an idea.
It began with a conversation.
Actually...
Thousands of conversations.
For years, families have called, emailed, and texted us looking for adaptive equipment.
Some knew exactly what they needed.
Others didn't know where to begin.
Together, we'd figure it out.
We'd talk about positioning.
Measurements.
Accessories.
Funding.
We'd answer questions, compare options, and eventually arrive at the right piece of equipment.
Then the conversation often changed.
"We know what we need..."
"We just don't know how we're going to pay for it."
We heard those words again and again.
We Knew There Had to Be a Better Way
We watched families create fundraising campaigns with the very best intentions.
Sometimes they were successful.
Sometimes they weren't.
But one thing kept happening.
The fundraising would end...
...and only then would the real equipment process begin.
Measurements still needed to be confirmed.
Options still needed to be selected.
Quotes changed.
Accessories were added.
Sometimes the original fundraising goal wasn't enough.
Not because anyone had done something wrong.
Because adaptive equipment is rarely simple.
We believed families deserved a better experience.
We Started With a Different Question
Instead of asking,
"How do we build another crowdfunding website?"
We asked,
"How can we make this entire journey easier for families?"
That question changed everything.
Built From Experience
MobilityFunder was shaped by years of working alongside families navigating adaptive equipment—not just selling it.
Our founder, Andy, understands that journey personally. Living with a disability has given him firsthand experience with the challenges that can come with finding the right equipment, navigating funding, and overcoming barriers that often stand between people and the mobility they need.
Over the years, those experiences—combined with thousands of conversations with families—reinforced one simple belief:
The goal isn't just funding equipment.
The goal is helping people participate more fully in life.
To join family outings.
To attend school more comfortably.
To explore their community.
To ride alongside siblings.
To simply do more of the things that matter.
Those are the outcomes that have always inspired our team.
Fundraising With a Destination
With MobilityFunder, the journey begins differently.
First, we help families choose the right equipment.
We work through the options.
We answer questions.
We prepare an accurate quote.
Then, when fundraising begins, everyone knows exactly what they're helping provide.
There's no guessing.
No surprises.
Just a clear goal and a community coming together around it.
More Than Crowdfunding
We don't believe families simply need another fundraising platform.
We believe they deserve guidance.
Someone to answer questions.
Someone to explain options.
Someone who understands adaptive equipment.
Someone who genuinely wants to help.
That's the role we've been playing for years through Tadpole Adaptive.
MobilityFunder is simply the next chapter of that mission.
From the Tadpole Team
Every family's journey is different.
Some paths are straightforward.
Many are not.
What we've learned over the years is that persistence, community, and the right guidance can make an incredible difference.
We'll never pretend the journey is easy.
But we hope MobilityFunder makes it a little less overwhelming—and helps more families reach the moments that matter most.
Because this has never been about fundraising alone.
It's about helping people move, participate, connect, and live fuller lives.
